How Does Assisted Stretch Therapy Work?

  • During a full body assisted stretch you will lie fully clothed and experience a variety of stretching movements facilitated by the therapist, and tailored to your body.

  • You will only make a small contribution to the range of motion.

  • Stretches are done while you are lying on your back, on your sides and in a seated position.

  • The room is quiet and warm with relaxing music. Deep breathing and a willingness to relax into the stretches is encouraged.

  • Your therapist will explain how to communicate during the session so you can ensure your body is only stretched to a safe and comfortable limit
